POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for enhancing workforce productivity and quality by proactively identifying and eliminating potential delays. Effectively plans, schedules, and maintains coordination of labor, materials, parts, and equipment access, ensuring that maintenance operations run efficiently and effectively.

This position requires working in an indoor and outdoor environment. This role is frequently exposed to hazardous materials, gases, and chemicals, and inclement weather conditions. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment.

POSITION PURPOSE:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Comprehensive knowledge of facility maintenance planning, scheduling, and preventive maintenance practices;
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Apps;
- Considerable knowledge of facility maintenance systems and procedures;
- Considerable knowledge of Computerized Asset Management System (CAMS) software;
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts and feedback;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Three years of experience related scheduling work teams.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of NC requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using IBM MAXIMO Asset Management Applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improves workforce productivity and work quality through proactive planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts, materials, and equipment.
- Develops long-range maintenance plans by analyzing work backlog against available resources to sustain a proactive maintenance environment.
- Prepares detailed job plans and identifying resource requirements.
- Manages resource allocation for specific jobs and monitors delivery timelines.
- Serves as liaison between maintenance and other departments, coordinates work orders, schedules preventive maintenance, and facilitates weekly planning meetings.
- Maintains the CAMS system, ensuring accurate asset, location, and work order data.
- Provides historical cost information for budgeting purposes and monitors cost trends to recommend process improvements.
- Oversees administrative duties, including recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
