At the Wake County Public School System, we've created a positive culture of respect, accountability and teamwork. Our Board of Education's 2023-28 Strategic Plan: Pathways to Excellence and Equity reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining high-quality staff and an instructional core, as well as utilizing equity-focused practices and promoting family and community engagement throughout the district.

We are proud to be building and nurturing school communities that are diverse, inviting, respectful, inclusive, flexible and supportive. We believe that no individual student or staff member should be prevented from achieving their full potential, discriminated against or hindered in accessing opportunities for learning and growth. We live out that commitment so that you may thrive in your career with us.

  • Our school board's Equity Policy and district Equity Framework guide and support us in removing systemic barriers to success for our employees and students. We apply an equity lens to every facet of our work.

  • We prioritize work/life balance and offer wellness programs that support you in creating healthy habits and achieving your goals.
  • We provide many avenues and pathways to expand your skills and grow your career.
  • Our employee recognition program celebrates individual achievements and reflects our real appreciation for your dedication.
