Monday-Friday 6am-3pm (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is not eligible for hybrid telework workweek

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for coordinating fulfillment and inventory at the Technology Warehouse. Conducts regular audits of inventory, maintains accurate records, and reports data regularly. Receives, sorts, stores, and processes assets for distribution. Maintains a well-organized, efficient, and productive warehouse environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Workspace application tools including but not limited to Drive, Sites, and Calendar;
  • Considerable knowledge of asset management and/or warehouse management;
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email and Calendar;
  • Effective customer service skills;
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate processes, workflows, and structures related to warehouse operations;
  • Ability to function exceptionally within a team environment, collaboratively and independently, with or without close supervision;
  • Ability to use, support, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of technology assets, including Windows PCs, Chromebooks, Apple devices, and other technology hardware;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, contractors, external agencies, and vendors.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associates degree in a relevant field; AND
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations; OR
  • Other combinations of applicable education, training and experience which provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.


CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of North Carolina requirements;
  • Must hold or be eligible to hold forklift certification.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience using asset and incident management systems;
  • Experience supporting asset management in a K-12 environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Receives and directs staff to fulfill orders for technology devices through the incident management system.
  2. Maintains highly accurate records of all inventory received, held, and sent through the Technology Warehouse.
  3. Coordinates daily operations of the Technology Asset Warehouse (e.g. open/close, scheduling, reporting areas of need to supervisor, tracking supplies, coordinating various teams to conduct work within the space, etc.).
  4. Conducts periodic inventory to ensure that data is accurate, up to date, and reliable.
  5. Conducts regular assessments for quality assurance.
  6. Provides accurate and clear reports regularly and on demand.
  7. Continuously evaluates and recommends improvements to processes and procedures.
  8. Manages use of the Technology Warehouse box truck, including occasional deliveries and pickups, scheduling, complying with maintenance schedule, regular inspections, reporting, and training.
  9. Complies with WCPSS standards, procedures, and processes, internal reporting and communication structures, and applicable laws, policies, and industry standards.
  10. Performs other related duties, as assigned.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to use a variety of office and warehouse equipment, such as computers, scanners, copiers, cameras, forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet stretch wrap machines, and scales. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50lbs. Work requires operating automotive equipment. Must be able to stand and/or walk consistent with medium work. Must be able to work in a warehouse and an office environment and come into direct contact with school system staff, students, vendors, and the community.
