POSITION PURPOSE:

Manages data associated with School Choice and Capital Improvement Plan initiatives. Acts as a technical support to Director of Student Transfers and Senior Director of Student Assignment. Creates and manages reports to assist with internal and external partners' needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Google Apps;
  • Ability to analyze and organize data;
  • Ability to collect data, create reports, and provide assistance with analyzing final work products for the team;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff and parents/guardians.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
  • Experience in analyzing and researching data.


CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years of experience in data analysis, systems integration, or a related field; experience with educational systems or student enrollment processes;
  • Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool) and online application platforms.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Ensures accuracy of statistical information maintained in databases used for School Choice and Capital Improvement Plan initiatives.
  2. Acts as a technical support to Director of Student Transfers and Senior Director of Student Assignment.
  3. Creates and manages reports to assist with internal and external partners' needs.
  4. Performs other related duties, as assigned.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position works in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, families, and the community. Work at times requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or exert up to 10 pounds. Physical requirements are consistent with those for sedentary work.
