POSITION PURPOSE:
In collaboration with the Senior Administrator, supports district resident teachers in the Central Carolina Teaching Initiative (CCTI): Wake-Durham Educator Preparation Program's North Carolina residency licensure program. Oversees the program's resident teachers in meeting coursework and portfolio requirements toward licensure. Coordinates the development and design of the curriculum in the educator preparation program through online, distance, and in-person learning as a North Carolina Department of Public Education (NCDPI)-approved Educator Preparation Program. Creates common guidelines and procedures for facilitation of learning, grading, and feedback, as well as participant support sessions. Develops and designs the CCTI professional teaching portfolio website, coursework, workshops, and support sessions for teacher licensure completion. Responsible for continuously evaluating and improving processes for meeting coursework licensure requirements in alignment with North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards in compliance with NCDPI-Educator Preparation Program approval requirements and Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) standards, procedures, and processes. Acts as curriculum liaison for the coaching program in support of resident teacher cohorts. Curates and distributes quarterly newsletters to support resident teachers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff members of external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment.

- Extensive knowledge of curriculum and curriculum design across multiple content areas; including standards- alignment and curriculum mapping;
- Extensive knowledge of North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards and NCDPI Residency Licensure;
- Extensive knowledge of technology applications: Canvas, Google, Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Website Design;
- Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent ability to design and deliver professional development to adult learners;
- Excellent ability to work in a team environment toward program and district goals;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, external agencies, and the community.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in teaching. curriculum and instruction, or leadership;
- Five-plus years successful teaching experience;
- Leadership experience in district or program curriculum design and implementation;
- Instructional coaching and/or mentoring experience;
- Hybrid and online teaching and learning design and delivery experience.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold or be qualified to hold a NC Professional Educator License;
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of NC requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- National Board Certification (NBPTS);
- Experience planning, developing, and implementing curriculum across multiple content areas;
- edTPA professional portfolio design and implementation experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, delivers, evaluates, and monitors the effectiveness of all curriculum and coursework in the CCTI: Wake- Durham Educator Preparation Program.
- Facilitates the pacing and implementation of diverse course delivery methods including online, distance learning, and in-person learning for effectiveness by cohort and teacher.
- Collaborates with Senior Administrator in compliance of CCTI: Wake-Durham NC residency licensure requirements for coursework and program initiatives.
- Facilitates the implementation of resident teacher coursework and portfolio completion as part of the NC residency licensure requirements for all content areas.
- Evaluates and oversees NC teacher licensure professional portfolio requirements for compliance.
- Develops professional learning opportunities, workshops, newsletters, and support sessions for residency teachers to support planning, instructional design, and assessment in alignment with NC residency licensure requirements for completion.
- Creates curriculum pacing guides, curriculum mapping, long-term planning, and design of new program curriculum initiatives as part of the educator preparation program for CCTI.
- Collaborates with Senior Administrator as curriculum liaison for the CCTI coaching program through shared resources and materials.
- Works collaboratively with central services to ensure content-area alignment, implement program goals, and evaluate teacher and program effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Collaborates with the team to promote CCTI through newsletters, social media, and recruitment activities.
- Attends meetings, conferences, and activities to continue professional growth and perform other duties, as assigned.
